Our Boatshop Weekend Workshop Series is your chance to learn practical skills with a salty twist. From bevels to butt blocks, we’ll teach you how to cut, shape, and join wood like a true shipwright (or at least fake it convincingly), and build practical skills you can use on actual boats. Whether you’re dreaming of building your own dinghy or just want to stop pretending you know what a rabbet is, this series is for you. Come for the craftsmanship and stay for the sawdust and questionable nautical metaphors.
The series will run throughout the year and include a variety of 1- to 3-day classes that give the participant the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Northwest Maritime Boatshop and all the resources that it has to offer.
Any students wanting to participate who are under 18 need to be accompanied by a chaperone. Youth with a chaperone only need to pay one tuition fee.
