Welcome Center staff and volunteers are available seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM to assist visitors and residents in person, over the phone, and by email. Guests can explore maritime exhibits, browse maps and local business brochures, get up-to-date recommendations about what’s happening around town, and shop! Think of the Welcome Center as your go-to starting point for discovering Port Townsend and Northwest Maritime.
The Welcome Center was funded by donations from friends of the Northwest Maritime Center, the State of Washington’s Heritage Capital Projects program administered by the Washington State Historical Society and a grant from the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area, for which NWM is a pilot project and official partner. We are also a City of Port Townsend visitor partner.
