Description:

Looking to add a little handmade magic to your holiday season? Spend a festive weekend in the Boatshop learning the woodworking basics while crafting unique, personal gifts that your friends and family will actually want to receive. This holiday-themed course is the perfect opportunity for beginners and seasoned woodworkers to build a solid foundation in shop safety, hand tools, power tools, joinery, gluing, clamping, and more—all with a joyful, gift-giving spirit.

Over the course of the weekend, you’ll create multiple small projects of your choice, from classic cutting boards and charming wooden toys to trinket boxes, hand tools, and rustic apple crates. With guidance from our experienced instructors, you’ll learn essential techniques while turning rough lumber into heartfelt holiday treasures. It’s a great experience filled with sawdust, skill-building, and maybe even a little hot cocoa. We’ll have a variety of materials on hand for you to choose from, and you’re welcome to bring your own tools if you’ve got favorites you’d like to use.

Whether you’re making gifts for loved ones or treating yourself to the joy of learning something new, this is a weekend workshop that blends creativity, craftsmanship, and holiday cheer into one unforgettable experience.
