Volunteer Bulletin – June 2026

By Lindsey Kuligowski, NWM Volunteer Coordinator

Thank You, Race Volunteers!

Race season kicked off with SEVENTY48, and we had a great group of volunteers cheering on the racers at the start of the race in Tacoma and the finish line all weekend. From our volunteers directing traffic, to climbing in and out of the water to help tired racers, to stocking the clubhouse with warm drinks and good vibes, our SEVENTY48 volunteers did it all!

Then, we switched gears to celebrate the 70 teams heading to Alaska. Our Port Townsend volunteers brought the pre-race excitement, supporting the racers and bringing the hype to the town. Then, in Victoria, our volunteers applauded the racers upon their finishing the Proving Ground and informed half of Canada about what Race to Alaska is and how to follow it.

I received nothing but compliments from racers and fans about how great our group of volunteers was, and I couldn’t agree more! Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help us with our two exciting races this year!
