At Northwest Maritime, we offer hands-on maritime education and adventure for all ages—from youth summer camps and school group expeditions to adult sailing, boatbuilding, and navigation classes that inspire lifelong connection to the water.

Youth Learn to Sail
Our Youth Learn to Sail camps guide kids and teens through hands-on sailing instruction, helping them gain confidence, teamwork skills, and knowledge of safe boating.

Youth Maritime Camps
Set sail this summer with our Youth Maritime Camps for ages 5–10! Kids explore the maritime world through boating, shore adventures, and hands-on projects—building skills, confidence, and curiosity along the way.

Youth Boatshop
Get hands-on with woodworking, design, and boatbuilding! These camps teach kids ages 7–16 how to measure, shape, and assemble real projects while exploring the science and math behind the craft.

Scholarships
Northwest Maritime is committed to making our programs accessible to all. We offer scholarships for participants facing financial barriers so that cost is never an obstacle to learning with us. Click below to apply for a scholarship.

Stay & Learn
Get 10% off your stay at The Swan Hotel if you’re taking a class at Northwest Maritime! A ‘Stay and Learn’ option will be available at the time of class registration. Must book directly through The Swan Hotel to redeem the discount and indicate class participation.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing; email to registrar@nwmaritime.org. Cancellations 14 days or more prior to the first day of the program will be refunded the program cost less an administrative fee of $25 per program. Cancellations made less that 14 days prior to the first day of the program will not be refunded. If NWM cancels a program, 100% of fees will be refunded or a reschedule option may be arranged. Please ask about options to reschedule.
Please note: Once you have received any course materials, cancellation details may differ from those listed here. If your Boatshop program includes a kit, cancellations must occur at least 45 days prior to the first day of the program to receive a refund of any kind.
