This was our third week working in the boatshop on Townshend maintenance. We worked hard even with a smaller crew this week. One of the students had a broken wrist and was still able to get a lot done!
Rolling and tipping paint on to the hull was a main focus today. We also oiled the interior of the boat and masts outside of the boat. We continue to enjoy the camaraderie of accomplishing this work together!
At the end of class we reflected on what we appreciated about working with the team. Some of the things highlighted were: awareness of each other’s space, attention to detail, working as a team to roll and tip paint, and how nobody rushed through tasks.
We have one more week in the shop and then re-launch the following week!
