Day two and the girls are hard at work. After welcoming our newest member Opal, the girls did some knot tying, learning the square knot and the cleat hitch. Then we got busy down in the shop.
After a quick handsaw demo from Kat, the girls jumped right back into their groups and began working excitedly on their projects.
Learning how to use a bevel gauge, the bandsaw, and an impact driver the boat group was able to build the molds out of wood.
The group working on tool trays made good progress too. They used handsaws to cut their pieces of the tool tray apart and then used block planes and rasps to even out the edges.
Filled with lots of learning and loads of fun, day two was definitely a success!
