Are you ready to take your boating skills to the next level? This 2-day comprehensive course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to operate a powerboat safely and effectively. Led by experienced and certified instructors, this hands-on program combines classroom learning with on-the-water practice, giving you the skills and confidence you need to become a better boaterโ€”whether you’re a beginner or have some experience.

What You’ll Learn:

Classroom Topics:

  • Boat types, motors, and terminology
  • Registration, legal requirements, and safety procedures
  • Essential safety equipment and rules of the road
  • Basic navigation and emergency response
  • Fueling, launching, trailering, and understanding weather conditions

Dockside & On-the-Water Skills:

  • Pre-departure checklists and engine troubleshooting
  • Docking, undocking, and close-quarters maneuvering
  • Slow and high-speed boat handling techniques
  • Towing, anchoring, and person-in-water recovery drills

Certifications Earned:

  • Upon successful completion, you will receive the US Powerboating Safe Powerboat Handling Certification
