Northwest Maritime Welcomes Three New Members to Its Board of Directors

Northwest Maritime is pleased to announce the addition of Stephanie Gale, Peter Mann, and Eric King to its Board of Directors, expanding the organization’s 22-member board with three leaders who bring deep maritime experience, professional distinction, and strong regional perspective.

Together, Gale, Mann, and King bring decades of experience across a diverse range of sectors including finance, commercial maritime operations, marine safety, and ocean research. Each has built a career rooted in the maritime field, with a shared commitment to stewardship, community, and the working waterfronts of the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Stephanie Gale is the founder of Gale Investment Management with a long record of civic leadership and nonprofit board service. Peter Mann is a licensed Puget Sound Pilot whose career spans deep-sea sailing, towing and shiphandling, and safe navigation through some of the region’s most complex waters. Eric King brings more than 30 years of maritime operations experience, including senior leadership overseeing global ocean research vessels and expedition logistics.

“These three leaders reflect the breadth of the maritime world we serve,” said Northwest Maritime CEO Jake Beattie. “They bring strategic expertise, lived experience on the water, and a shared belief in the power of maritime education and connection to place.”

With professional footprints that span local communities, regional waters, and international maritime operations, Gale, Mann, and King strengthen Northwest Maritime’s ability to advance its mission of engaging people of all ages with the sea and the skills, careers, and culture that sustain maritime life.
