Get to know Team Puget Sound Navigation Company
First thing first. Why race in WA360?
We need to get out of the house.
What’s your connection to these waters?
All three of us grew up sailing on the sound. If you were yo total the years all three of us have been sailing the Salish Sea, it would be ~90 years.
Superpowers. Each crew member gets one. What are they and why?
Anthony – Asks the right questions.
Molly – Answers the right questions.
Mike – Can listen to reggae almost all day
Defend your vessel choice for WA360. What makes it so cool and worthy?
It’s a Gougeon 32 – is there a cooler boat? We think that between the speed of the vessel under sail and the lightness of the vessel under human propulsion should give is a good shot at completing the course reasonably quickly.
What are your adventure qualifications for WA360? What makes you (y’all) cool and capable?
We all learned to sail in elementary school on the Puget Sound and have grown up in the PNW, racing sailboats locally, nationally, and internationally both together and as competitors. Thus far we have been able to avoid rescues from marine first responders on most continents.
What is going to break?
Sea madness may break our sanity in the South Sound.
