Get to know Team Hold Fast
First thing first. Why race in WA360?
Done three or maybe four Seventy48’s and thought that sailing a Hobie Cat for ten days might be “fun”
What’s your connection to these waters?
Grew up on Lake Union, Puget Sound and the connecting bodies of water, including the Pacific Ocean and later the Oceans that connect to it as well.
Superpowers. Each crew member gets one. What are they and why?
I think I’m smart enough to know when to “Sit! Stay!” and wait for the right wind tide, current or Crepe! Waffles too!
Defend your vessel choice for WA360. What makes it so cool and worthy?
It seemed like a good idea at the time, A Hobie Cat, lets spend ten days on a beach cat and eat some freezedried foodz!…
What are your adventure qualifications for WA360? What makes you (y’all) cool and capable?
Grew up sailing and racing sailboats here on Puget sound, participated in three or four? seventy48’s. Sailed 15K delivery miles in the Pacific. Cruised Patagonia a bit. Single handed Atlantic crossing in 23. That Global Solo Challenge thing in 23-24 sixth place finish. Double handed trans Atlantic, Spain to Maine, with Lillian Miller Kuehl of Team Interstice in Aug 24. Married Lillian Miller Kuehl March 2025.
What is going to break?
What’s going to break first? The record for the slowest Hobie cat ever in the WA360, or me.
