It’s only a few days until our sold out fundraiser, She Tells Sea Tales. The girls spent the first half of class rehearsing the shanty they wrote to share at the event. We are excited to share it with you!
Then we headed down to the shop to do a bit more work on Onward and on our personal projects. The Onward crew focused on getting a coat of varnish on her boom, gunter, and mizzen mast and boom. The girls working on personal projects focused on drilling holes for their tool tray handles, mortising mallet heads, and shaping mallet handles.
We also added some fun games and time outside. We created a short obstacle course inside while it was sleeting and later had a few minutes in the sun while we collected plastic trash from the beach.
We are excited (and a little bit nervous) for She Tells Sea Tales this Saturday!
