Beyond Basic Keelboat: Skill Development

This Beyond Basic Keelboat class is designed for individuals who have already obtained a Basic Keelboat Certification and are eager to further enhance their sailing skills. Whether you’re a recent graduate of the Basic Keelboat course or an experienced sailor looking to refine your techniques, this class offers a dynamic and hands-on learning experience. Classes will be limited to three students and is a great chance to practice what you’ve learned with the help of an instructor. Classes can be repeated for those who want to keep working on their skills and spend more time on the water.

12–4 PM | Cost: $199 Non-member, $179 Member

  • Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Certification
  • For Ages: 16+
  • Platform: We teach on our Cal 20 and Catalina 250.
  • Duration: One 4-hour course that takes place on a Saturday afternoon
  • Audience: For those who have already earned their Basic Keelboat Certification and want to practice what they’ve learned and further develop their skills.
  • Materials: US Sailing Basic Keelboat Textbook

  • Notes: Please watch for a reminder email with class schedules, details, and pack list to be sent via email one week before class. This class has a two-person minimum.
