10 AM–1 PM | Cost: $105 (price includes tax), 2026 Salish 100 racers get a discount
Description:
Each summer, the Salish 100 fleet cruises the length of the Puget Sound—100 miles from the state capital of Olympia to the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend—with daily stops for cruisers to join together and share the experience.
This class unlocks the secret of safe and confident boating, preparing you to take part in incredible journeys, like the Salish 100! Tides and currents are a huge part of boating in the dynamic waters of the Salish Sea, affecting everything from kayaks and rowboats to inflatables, sailboats, and powerboats. This class will cover forces at work, the resources available, and the skills needed to safely operate your vessel for a successful on-the-water adventure.
Whether you’re new to cruising, new to cruising these waters, or a more experienced mariner wanting a refresher, this class will give you the skills and confidence needed to embark on this vibrant community cruise. Plus, our Cruise Boss, Jesse Wiegel, will be joining the class for a question-and-answer session.
