Tides & Currents in the Salish Sea – Online Class
Unlock the secrets of safe and confident boating in the dynamic waters of the Salish Sea. Tides and currents are a huge part of boating in our local waters. Knowing the forces at work, the resources available, and the skills needed to safely operate your vessel is paramount to a successful on-the-water adventure. Kayaks, rowboats, inflatables, sailboats, and powerboats—all are affected by the rise and fall of the tide. Whether you’re a beginner planning a day trip on Port Townsend Bay, or a more experienced mariner planning a voyage up the Inside Passage, this class will give you the skills and confidence needed to embark on a trip in these local waterways.
