"It is true: 'you can't take it with you'—but you can pay it forward. We won't leave a grand legacy or be remembered in any history books, but we can help a child now and hopefully children in the future, too."
—Garry & Jamie Wohlgemuth

Support the Innovation & Excellence Fund

Perhaps you're a long-time Wooden Boat Festival fan or an R2AK Tracker Junkie (an actual title!). Maybe your greatest passion is to sail or teach young people real-life skills that were valuable in your own career. Or you might simply love to come to our campus, sit on the beach, and watch the world go by. All of these are terrific reasons to give to the Innovation and Excellence Fund—and support one of the region’s most innovative and entrepreneurial nonprofits.

Give In-Kind

Donate Your Boat

When you donate your boat, your boat will either be added to our fleet or sold to raise funds. Either way, you get a tax deduction, and programs that connect people to the water are all the better for your generosity.

Donate Used Boat Hardware

Donate your used boat hardware to the Marine Thrift. You get a tax deduction, boaters get amazing deals, and we all do our part to reduce the waste stream.

Contribute to Our Library

Nautical books, charts, magazines, and journals find new life on the shelves of the H.W. McCurdy Library and in the hands of avid readers of all things nautical. Our collection is a public service to our community: the McCurdy Library is part of the Cooperative Libraries of the Eastern Olympics.

Shop our store

Shop at the Wooden Boat Chandlery or Marine thrift, and support the Northwest Maritime Center. Your shopping helps keep our programs shipshape!

Donate to Marine Thrift by cleaning out your garage or workshop and contributing your unused tools and hardware. We are a 501(c)(3) so your donations are tax deductible. Donating is a great way to give back and support the Northwest Maritime Center.

Have check, will give.

Make your check payable to NWMC and mail it to 431 Water Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368. We embrace technology, but also appreciate traditions like receiving letters in the post!
