After what feels like too long, Bravo Team finally made it back on the water today and it was glorious. We spent the first few minutes of class finalizing some journey plans for the all day trip next week. We are all looking forward to spending a whole day together exploring, sailing, rowing, and snacking.

We loaded the boat and left the dock with Hunter at the helm for possibly the last time in his 4 year Bravo Team career. Soon after leaving the harbor, we set our sails. As an extra treat, the brig Lady Washington was at the Maritime Center dock and truly made the longboat feel like a time machine.

We practiced (for some) and learned (for others) sailing skills including tacking, gybing, and moving our halyards to windward. Then we had our snack and moment of silence under sail.
