Annual Giving Keeps Us Going

The Northwest Maritime Center and Wooden Boat Foundation relies upon revenue from programs, grants from private foundations, state and local governments and the generosity of individuals through membership and gifts to our annual fund.

As organizations go through capital campaigns, it is hard to keep focus upon running the programs for which an organization was founded. While the buildings that will be home for our programs and mission have grown, so have the programs we offer and intend to offer in support of our mission.

Our programs serve hundreds of children each year, engendering a love of the outdoors and a passion for the sea. They provide lessons in math, teamwork and leadership as they work though classroom curriculum, crew our program boats and learn to sail.

We teach people of all ages how to sail and provide organizations throughout the region with on the water experiences.

All of this takes a team, our team, to create, manage and deliver these programs with excellence.
