even some of the well-known shallow spots! Following a serious dredging, new piles, ADA qualified ramps and docks, utilities and fire safety systems are now installed.
Sea Marine (formerly Fleet, http://www.fleetmarine.com) travel lift was rebuilt and opened May 1. The entire marina is due to re-open June 15.
The Port of Port Townsend owns the marina and surrounding historic buildings generally called Point Hudson. Jackson Street, in front of the Armory building, home of Hasse & Company Port Townsend Sails, Brion Toss Yacht Riggers and Point Hudson Boat Shop has been dug up for new utilities, dock ramps and a new Water Street Viewing Platform. This utility work coordinates with City of Port Townsend and NWMC utility work on the marina end of Water Street at the entrance to the Wooden Boat Festival. Construction is expected to continue through the summer, but all businesses remain open and busy. NWMC boats: Martha J, Dorjun, Thunderbirds Riza and Spirit, the two longboats, Townshend and Bear and the fixed seat Rowing Livery boats will return to center dock for summer programs in June.
