Victoria Poling

Assistant Chandlery Manager

Victoria is the Assistant Chandlery Manager. She also manages the technical side of the operation including the Point of Sale system and the webstore. Victoria returned to Port Townsend in August 2008 from four years of sailing tall ships on both US coasts as a deckhand/educator, engineer and mate. Her experience in purchasing boat supplies and engine parts has made her familiar with the challenge of locating the right part, in the right port at the right time. Her love of sailing was sparked as a kid by a sailing class in El Toros at the Wooden Boat Foundation and a week long trip on the Schooner Adventuress. A graduate of the University of Washington School of Forestry, she has researched forest ecology and ethnobotany in Sichuan, China and has taught environmental science aboard Adventuress. Some of her other adventures have included playing violin in a mariachi band and teaching kayak building.
