Rebecca Petrie
Chandlery Manager
Rebecca Petrie has been managing museum stores for the past 23 years. She started at Hancock Shaker Village, a restored Shaker site in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The Village had a wonderful demonstration craft program where she worked closely with blacksmiths, cabinet makers, basket makers, weavers, and oval box makers. She left the Village in 2005 to work at the Berkshire Museum, a small community museum, also located in Pittsfield. She has been active in the Museum Store Association for over 15 years and served as President of the New England chapter, as a speaker and volunteer at both local and national conventions.
A native of New England, Rebecca has lived in Alabama and on the Mississippi gulf coast. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Boston with a degree in English.
