Peter Quinn

Development Director

Peter Quinn brings solid experience as a leader of both for profit and non-profit organizations. Most recently he was Executive Director of the Seattle based Northwest Entrepreneur Network where led the re-invigoration of the 24 year old organization, increasing membership and launching innovative new programs to serve early stage entrepreneurs.

Quinn's credentials as an entrepreneur include 5 years as the startup CEO of Ireland's third wireless network, Meteor Mobile Communications, over 10 years with McCaw Cellular Communications, and co-founder of a winery in Oregon. He was also an early investor in winebid.com, an online wine auction company based in Seattle.

Peter has a lifelong immersion in and passion for the maritime industry. His father was a Columbia River Bar Pilot in Astoria, Oregon. He crewed on the pilot boat Peacock as a young man. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria, which was co-founded by his father. More recently, he and his wife, Anna, were liveaboards in Eagle Harbor on Bainbridge Island before selling their beloved boat and moving to Port Townsend two years ago.

A published poet and lover of all things maritime, Port Townsend is a place that scratches all the long ignored itches.
