CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

The Chandler Maritime Education Building, on the right, opened to the public last September. The Maritime Heritage & Resource Building (on the left) is home to our administrative offices and will feature the new Chandlery and coffee shop starting in May, 2010. We are very close to bringing the $12.8 million Capital Campaign to completion!

In May we announced a $600,000 challenge grant from The Kresge Foundation. That was followed shortly by a $500,000 challenge from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The goal? To finish the campaign by March 31, 2010. With these two challenge grants, $1.1 million hangs in the balance. We still need $1 million to reach our goal. Every dollar we receive from other sources will be matched by these two grantors. Donating to the Capital Campaign now is a great way to leverage your gift.
