Title: Community Read Discussion to Take Place Here

Every year, the Port Townsend Library sponsors a Community Read during which the entire town gets together to read and discuss the same book. This year the book is The Hungry Ocean by Linda Greenlaw. The Northwest Maritime Center & Wooden Boat Foundation will be hosting two gatherings in conjunction with the Read. One on March 16th, and one on March 17th.

On Tuesday evening, March 16th at 7pm Kaci Cronkhite, Wooden Boat Festival director, will host "Reeling Them In,"  a talk freaturing a group of marine tradespeople that will focus on the history of the fishing industry and wooden boats in Port Townsend. The following afternoon at 4pm, NWMC Executive Director Stan Cummings will lead an informal discussion of the Hungry Ocean. Everyone is welcome. You can click here for a discussion group guideline.
